memphis in a day….

Well the vacation so far is great!  The one thing I am glad we planned on is the extra travel time on each day….and yes we used it!  I mean we stopped 3 times in an hour and a half (thanks brooklyn).

We stopped west of Little rock near the Arkansas River and had lunch….we found some visitors….actually someone found us!  Yep….4 little kittens…If you see Sheena ask what she thought of them.

When we crossed the Mississippi River into Memphis and it was super awesome! There is like nothing around and then we take a turn and then BOOM a huge city!

Once we checked in we didnt play around…we went straight for the Sasquatch….Yes its a behometh of a Burger…Bailee tried eating it, Brooklyn tried, Sheena tried and even I tried…..We all failed!  Even with my parents help we did not win at all!  DANG!  The 7.5 pound burger won…easily!

Time to walk off that huge burger…

We checked out Beale Street and it was sweet!  Loved it….Love the whole feel of rich culture.

Well time to head to the hotel….dont want to walk really…..How bout we take the Trolley….Such good memories!

2 days away…you scoundrel

I got so much i wanna blog about when it comes to our vacation but at the same time i want to hold it back until it happens…..For instance Friday night we are doing something that is truly fun.  Fun in a way you typically don’t think of…..you’ll see.  Trust me i’ll keep ya posted.

Well this past week I got to take the morning off and help our LifeKIDS central team and I got to be in a video shoot and i was the character in an upcoming Toon Town Series “Scoundrel”.  I am Butch Tappity and my partner in crime is the Square Dance Kid.  Yeah, great names.  We are scoundrels and are doing what we can to be dishonest and take over the position of Deputy in Whopperburg.  Well I dont want to give the whole think away but a little bit of it’s funny and when Grant and I uh…. I mean the kid and I get caught from stealing Gold from the “lucky duck” mine…. we get tossed in jail!….

BUT I cant tell ya what happens next…..you just got to tune in!…some good ol’ stuff.

 

my instinct’s kicked back in….

I am a 100% bonafide list maker and planner.  I love making plans and these instincts are kicking in….I am working on a list on what to bring, a list on what to buy and a list on what to do.

Of course I speak of our vacation we are going on in a couple days.  Here’s what I got so far….

Friday – 6:30am head to Checotah, Ok to meet up with parents

9:00 hit the road…next stop Beale Street, Memphis!

Saturday 9:00am Head to Nashville and stop for some delicious lunch

1:00pm or so head to Sevierville and see my brother

Sunday through Sunday?  you got to check out my blog and you’ll see whats going down!

We have a general guide but it is going to be pretty open to some good ol’ spontnaity.

The wall….

Well I was going to post this last night but “wordpress.com” had some issues so I wasn’t able to talk to everyone. 

Friday night Sheena and I was looking at our Holly tree and noticed that if we were going to put some sod down we need to go ahead and put some edge border or something like that for our mini flower bed.  We realized that we need to put a retaining wall around the tree to get this flowerbed looking real good and be able to last for a long time. 

Sheena worked hard at prepping the wall and making sure it was all straight while I laid all the stone in place.

Saturday morning we kicked it up a notch and 4 hours later we finished!  All we have to do now is lay down some top soil/potting soil mix and start planting!  Sheena is working on what we need to plant under the tree…I look forward to seeing what she comes up with!

SIDE NOTE…..This week will be a busy week for me so I decided to do something I have never done before.  I am going to feature 5 different videos from Youtube that just make me happy.  You;ll have fun watching them and at the same time you’ll get to know me a little better! 

A Bra in my Yard?

Okay here’s the back story…. We had a drain put in our yard to prevent our walkway from flooding.  We had it placed in our yard but was about 8 feet short from the street sidewalk, when it rained this past couple days the drain worked real well, actually to well.  It flooded the grass out when the water pushed through the lawn.  So I decidedto extend this drain down to the sidewalk so that it wouldn’t flow in the yard instead it would flow in the street.  

Okay now we are up to speed….

I was digging the hole for the pipe when I sit a fabric of some sort.  I tried to cut it with my shovel but never succeeded.  So I tugged on it pretty strong and then I realized it is some sort nylon sack….So I thought.  It was a BRA!  What the heck!  I showed Sheena and she flipped out!  How did a Bra get 1 foot deep in our yard?  So many questions on what the heck happened!  Is there a dead body in our yard somewhere?  okay….a bra 1 foot deep in our yard….Oh come on.  What’s up with that.
