These are the words of my wifes eyes…..

Here’s the back story…

I was watching tv a couple days ago while the girls are playing in the living room and I saw something that caught my attention and called out “What the HECK!”

no more than a couple seconds the following happened…..

Brooklyn:  *looking at me with a face of curiousity* “what the HECK, what the HECK”

Bailee: *looking at Brooklyn with full intent to continue copying her* “Heck, Heck, Heck”

Brooklyn: *looks at sissy laughing* “Heck, Heck, Heck”

Bailee & Brooklyn: *laughing in a sis kinda way as they scamper out the room into there bedroom chanting* “Heck, Heck, Heck, Heck”

What have I done?  I have taught my daughters the words of this world.   Oops.

The thing about it is I wish you could have seen my wifes eyes……yikes.

It’s my world in a House Full of Ladies……I’m going to my man cave…..The Garage.

BBQ and $2.13….

This post today is a multiple subject post…..

1st of all lets hit on the BBQ.  Well my parents are coming in the weekend (woo woo!)  and we are going to be partaking of some delicious BBQ!  Not just any mainstream BBQ joint but of my friends is cooking up a 14lb brisket!  I got to eat some of his Pulled pork this past summer and it was delicious and it is his least favorite!  He thinks brisket is his #1 best tasting thing to make sooooooo needless to say i be eatin’ Brisket tomorrow night!

2nd of all…..I paid $2.13 for gas last night! $2.13!  It was like $3.69 not to long ago!  Insane!  I remember going to California one year and was like “$1.99, come on!  That is ridiculous!”  Now look at me.  Geez.

Here’s a side question for ya….You all know the answer….What was your first amount of gas you paid for.  Not first time ever, I am talking about when you turned 16 and your parents let you go out by yourself and you got gas by yourself the first time.  For me $.83.   And for like 3 years it bounced between $.75 & $.95!  For years!  Now it can fluctuate $1.50 in a months time!

Back to the parents,

Yep there coming up here for the first time in quite some time….4-5 months or so.  I am excited for them to see our yard and what we have done to it, and I am anxious for them to see the Cutlass in what I have done to it.  It’s more or less stuff that’s going to happen soon.  For instance, Later today I am taking it to the welder to get prices on filling the holes from where the trim was last at.  I dont know what to expect but if it is too much I wont hesitate to go somewhere else.  Know anyone who can use a Mig or acetylene welder?

Canna do it?

My Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law hooked me up with some Canna bulbs last night!  I think a couple years they planted a couple bulbs near their entrance to there house and now they have just blew up and are everywhere!  They said “please take some!”  So I hooked my self up with about 3 bags of bulbs!

I plan on planting them on my back fence line in the backyard.  I think it will add some much needed color and will bring a good inviting backyard to the next small step.

The following step will probably come soon or next season, I plan on planting some Autumn Azalea’s.  They’ll add some good green color during the summer and in the early fall into late fall they will add some great color as well.  I now got the idea of what I want the yard to kinda look like it is now time to do some action!  Slowly but surely it’ll look pretty good!

I am looking forward to next years flowering, blooming, planting, and the lawn’s look!  Why?  Cause now that everything has a good root system and in place I know it’ll look better next year!

My free time….

I know I do most of my talking right now on my car blog rather than this one recently.  I guess that’s because all my free time is in my car right now.  Its the quiet time I have to where I can work on the car and at the same time have my quiet prayer time.  I am not in deep solemn prayer with candles lit and praise and worship music going….It’s more like sanding, tearing apart, prepping and having a conversation with God.  My time to just get away and talk to God as he is right beside me.  It is more me doing the talking and him just listening, my thing is I want him to talk back as much as I talk to him.  BUT it’s his wisdom that is amazing…..He doesn’t talk to hear himself speak, he talks for a reason……Thinking about it….When he talks lives are changed!  Everytime he has spoke to me it has changed my life in a way.

I absolutely love my free time….the time I get to hang out in the garage, my music, my car, my time.  I love it.  Yeah I spend my free time wisely, not during dinner, or time with the family.

I think this is healthy and helps develop those conversations that bring creativity to your ministry and your passion for what God has called you to.

GWL in G-Vine

Tomorrow Sheena, Brooklyn, Bailee, the in-laws & I are heading to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine tomorrow at 9am!  Yep, It’s going to be a good little retreat and a time to just hang out with the family.  I’ll be back Wednesday afternoon for KONNECT and ready for a long night of Church!  Ever heard of Great Wolf Lodge?  It is a Waterpark/Hotel!  Lots of fun for the family for sure!  It will be a blast!
